About Us
What Is Florence Baptist Academy
- FBA is a ministry of Florence Baptist Church
- It was started in 2000 and has seen 13 graduates go onto successful college careers
- We are an arm of the local family, teaching family and spiritual values as well as academics.
How is the school funded?
- All teachers salaries, as well as expenses are paid through the tuition of the students. We receive no state or government subsidies.
- lThe book fees that you pay, covers all the curriculum for your children.
- lOther expenses are paid through the church as part of the ministry.
- Fund raisers are done through out the year to help off set expenses
Teachers Credentials
- All of our supervisors are either degreed or within a semester of being degreed.
- All supervisors and monitors are required to go through yearly continued education training.
- Our monitors are parents who volunteer their time to come in a couple of hours a day to help out.
- We encourage parental participation, if they are able to do so.
Academics
- We use the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum.
- We use a mastery program. Students must pass with a 90% or above to advance to the next pace.
- They are taught in 7 subjects. English, Word Building, Math, Science, Literature, Social Studies, and Bible.
- Foreign languages are an elective and will be an extra charge.

Dress Code
- Light blue collared shirts and blouses
- Dark blue pants for the boys and skirts and dresses knee length or longer for the girls.
